In the last decades, street art has become a globalized contemporary art practice. It answers to peculiar characteristics of development of postindustrial cities, and to art forms that relate to political concerns and modes of expression that transform the aesthetic experience in the urban context. This work questions the old topic about the “function of art” and tries to understand street art as a form of artivism and of "overflow" in public space.
