Abstract

The comparative analysis of two works of the multidisciplinary artist Samuel Beckett —The Unnamable (literary text) and Not I (video art and theatrical piece)—, of his statements and the work of two artists who influenced his work (James Joyce and Stéphane Mallarmé), will lead us to distinguish the constitution of an artistic research (without disciplinary borders) committed to a precise idea of art and a radical artistic project that will distinctively mark his entire process and his becoming subject-artist.

    Artista-investigadora-docente. PhD de la Escuela Doctoral de Artes, Estética y Ciencias del Arte, por la Universidad Sorbona-Panteón Paris I (2016). Máster en Didáctica de la Imagen (2009) y Maîtrise (2007) y Licenciatura (2005) en Estudios Cinematográficos y Audiovisuales por la Universidad París III. Licenciada en Artes Plásticas por la Universidad París VIII (2005) y por la Universidad Central del Ecuador (1998).

    A través de un recorrido transversal entre estudios cinematográficos, teoría estética y práctica artística contemporánea, explora los diálogos entre las artes, privilegiando el estudio de las condiciones de posibilidad de la existencia del arte y su dimensión contextual, apuntando a esclarecer su función crítica y política. https://gabrielarivadeneiracrespo.wordpress.com/
