Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- I have read the About the journal section and have reviewed its section policies, publication rules, editorial policies and its statement of ethical practices in research and publication.
- The submission has not been previously published or reviewed by any other journal (or an explanation has been provided in the Editor’s Comments).
- The submission has been made through the journal's management system. In this system, the title in Spanish and English of the article has been entered in the respective fields. The summary (Spanish) and abstract (English) of the article have been entered in the respective fields. Keywords have been entered in both Spanish and English in the respective fields. The complete bibliography has been entered, checking that it is in accordance with the APA standards. Author information has been entered.
- The article and the author's information have been separated into two documents, to maintain the confidentiality of the evaluation process.
- The file is in Microsoft Word format (.doc or.docx).
Art Themes
Art Themes: This section includes reviewed articles (blind peer review) on various topics related to contemporary art and discussed from different approaches such as research-artistic creation, art history, visual studies, visual anthropology, or sociology. Articles in this section are accepted only within the deadlines established in the call.
Features: Peer-reviewed, indexed.
Dossier
Dossier: This section includes reviewed articles (blind peer review) selected based on the reflection on a specific art topic which will be stipulated in each call. Articles in this section are accepted only within the deadlines established in the call.
Features: Peer-reviewed, indexed.
Vissual Essay
Visual essay: This section includes artistic or photographic visual essays. These articles are not peer reviewed and are commissioned to the authors by the publisher.
Characteristics: Evaluated by the editor, indexed.
Dialogue
Dialogue: This section is open to dialogues between artists, curators and journalists who deal with different topics of interest in contemporary art. This section is not peer reviewed and is published at the Editor’s judgment.
Characteristics: Evaluated by the editor, indexed.
Reviews
Reviews: This section publishes critical reviews of artistic and historical texts or contemporary art exhibitions throughout Latin America. This section is not peer reviewed and is published at the Editor’s judgment.
Characteristics: Evaluated by the editor, indexed.
Curatorial
Curatorial: This section publishes curatorial texts of exhibitions and biennials from all over Latin America. This section is not peer reviewed and is published at the Editor’s judgment.
