Abstract

This paper highlights the creative aspect of the flatbed scanner as a specific procedure of an artistic practice known as scannography. The result arises in a context of academic research within the Media Archaeology (Natale, 2012) —being one of its aims to recover and preserve the memory of procedures, techniques, works, and artists located at the intersection among art, science, and technology in the last decades of the twentieth century.
