Abstract

This text is developed by one of the members of a curatorial duo odf the show Estrategias sublevantes. Lo sensible en acción (Strategies for Uprising. The Sensible in Action), opened on December 11th, 2019, in Quito, Ecuador, at FLACSO Arte Actual gallery. The purpose is to leave a sketch of the conceptual processes carried out, the main concern of the discussion, the aspirations regarding the construction of meanings, and the projection of specific reflections, the ways of organizing ideas by curatorship, the problems and the way in which the creative, activists and artistic proposals involved were integrated.

Author Biography

Albeley Rodríguez Bencomo, Autónoma

Albeley Rodríguez Bencomo (Mérida, Venezuela, 1972). Doctora en Estudios Culturales Latinoamericanos por la Universidad Andina Simón Bolívar. Investigadora en arte, género, interseccionalidades y activismos. Curadora de arte contemporáneo. Docente invitada de la UASB y docente tiempo parcial en la UDLA Ecuador. Ha sido profesora en la en la Universidad del Cauca en Popayán, en la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Ecuador y en la UNEARTES, Caracas, Venezuela. Fue Directora de Posgrado en la UArtes, Guayaquil. Es autora del libro Cuerpos “irreales” + arte insumiso en la obra de Argelia Bravo (2014). Ha publicado artículos en revistas especializadas en Argentina, Chile, México, España, Ecuador y Venezuela.
